The Regional Detention and Outfall project consisted of approximately 300,000 CY of excavation to serve the phase one development of Sweetgrass Village Development and construct the 7,500 linear foot outfall channel that will ultimately serve the entire 1,000ac development. The project scope included three pipeline crossings, two future roadway crossings, and a large stormwater quality feature on the dual-7’x6’ RCB outfall.
The project required coordination for crossing and fill placement on San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) property, including the removal of existing sheet piling and constructing a thirty-foot tall gabion basket stabilized retaining wall constructed in a confined work area.
