B.S. Civil Engineering – 2008
Texas Board of Professional Engineers #121935
Stephanie Tabor’s love of problem-solving and curiosity about how things work led her to pursue a degree in civil engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. After graduating in 2008, she began her career in the environmental sector, designing landfill gas systems and managing air permitting projects across the southeastern United States. Those early years strengthened her technical foundation and gave her an appreciation for how thoughtful engineering can improve everyday life.
In 2014, Stephanie shifted her focus to land development in the Houston area, where she found a rewarding balance between technical design and community impact. Since then, she has managed numerous single-family residential projects across Harris, Galveston, Brazoria, Austin, and Jefferson Counties, including developments in Wallis, Beaumont, Baytown, Texas City, and Spring. She has experience with Municipal Utility District creation and serving as District Engineer on multiple districts, guiding clients through the complexities of planning and infrastructure. Stephanie is an ENV SP (Envision Sustainability Professional), reflecting her interest in sustainable, thoughtful design practices.
Outside of work, Stephanie contributes to her community as Vice President of Canstruction Houston, a nonprofit design-build competition that benefits the Houston Food Bank. In this role, she helps coordinate local designers, engineers, and students as they create large-scale structures from canned food, raising awareness and resources to fight hunger in the Houston area. Stephanie and her husband live in the Houston area with their three children and dog. She is grateful to have a career that allows her to combine her technical expertise, creativity, and dedication to people to help build stronger, more connected communities.
