For as long as Shannon can remember she always had the desire to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become an engineer. Her love for math and science was nurtured and developed by her family and various mentors throughout her childhood. This continued support led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Southern University and A&M College in her hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University.

This foundation has led to a nearly 15-year career gaining experience within various areas of civil engineering and ultimately becoming a Texan. Shannon’s experience includes environmental engineering related to soil and groundwater remediation, land and site development and construction management. More recently, her focus has been providing design and Hydrologic & Hydraulic (H&H) services to clients. These projects include management and design of channel improvements, detention basins, and drainage improvements within residential areas as well as completion of H&H modeling for use to update Harris County floodplain mapping and design implementation to provide drainage improvements for residential areas.

When not at work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband, Terry and three children Caleb, Ava, and Jacob through family vacations and attending sporting events. Shannon is also active with her daughter Ava in Girl Scouts.
