Focusing on the people of the industry as well as the “numbers” of the project have allowed Justin R. Ring, P.E., to become successful in the municipal utility district and land development community of the Greater Houston area. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a civil engineering degree, Mr. Ring has worked with land development and special district projects for nearly twenty years.

Mr. Ring served as engineering project manager for many communities in the area. Although many of his projects have been located in Fort Bend County, he has created communities throughout the region, working closely with developers to create communities for future homeowners, many of them achieving the American Dream of homeownership for the first time.

Justin has worked with numerous municipal utility districts (MUDs) throughout the Greater Houston region, including Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Brazoria, and Colorado Counties. He enjoys working directly with the residents and communities in which he serves as the engineer and has strong skills in communicating technical information to residents of a community.

Mr. Ring served on the Board of Trustees for the Association of Water Board of Directors for five years as part of his commitment to the municipal utility district community. He served in many roles within the Association, including serving as the President of the Association from 2013 through 2014 and as Immediate Past President from 2014 until June 2016. During his time with the Association, he worked with industry experts to promote and defend utility districts with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and State and Local legislators and agencies.

While dedication to his projects and clients is a large part of his success, Mr. Ring also builds relationships in his industry and community by working in neighborhood and civic organizations. Justin helped to create an Infrastructure Division of the Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance (then Richmond-Rosenberg Chamber of Commerce) and served as its chair for seven years, earning the Committee Member of the Year award from the Chamber in 2008 and 2012. Other community organizations that Justin currently serves include Fort Bend County Levy Improvement District No. 11, First United Methodist Church Missouri City and Chancel Choir, and the Friends of the Arts, which is a community fine arts support organization. He is an active member of the Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Council and supports his clients’ communities as though he was a resident.

Justin sees that his career path has been successful, but he would be the first to tell you that the foundation of his success has come from home. He and his wife, Erin, along with their two children, Audrey and Grayson, live in Richmond, Texas. It is the roots that he has put down in the community, with his family and neighbors, which support him in his success.
