Civil Engineering Technology – 2002
Texas Board of Professional Engineer #145185
As a child Jorge was intrigued by roadways, bridges, and buildings. His grandfather advised him to become a civil engineer. Later, Jorge attended Kennesaw State University (formerly known as Southern Polytechnic State University) on an athletic and academic scholarship and graduated with a Civil Engineering Technology degree in 2002.
After graduation, Jorge began his career in the construction industry with a reputable Georgia Department of Transportation contractor as an estimator. Over time his roles and responsibilities increased to include project management and procurement and became familiar with drainage and utility construction. In 2014, he moved to Houston for a better opportunity and to be closer to his extended family. In 2019, Jorge hired with Odyssey as a project engineer to develop his design experience and is currently an assistant project manager. His experience with Odyssey resides in the residential land development sector primarily working in Fort Bend and Harris County where he uses his construction knowledge to design and close out Odyssey projects.
Jorge has been happily married to his winning lottery ticket (wife) for over 20 years and they have four children ranging from 18 to 4. Yes, one child was a whoopsie! He now enjoys watching all his kids play sports over the weekend and spending time with his extended family.
